Hungary has a very unique and colourful natural environment. However, many of these special habitats and species are vanishing. We would like to raise awareness of these natural treasures through our photo exhibition, which consists of photos taken by the faculty and students of the University of Sopron. There will be a few thematic seminars throughout the event as well, where we will hear about certain endangered habitats and species in more depth. In order to make our event more accessible, the photo exhibition and seminars will be made available online as well, in English and Hungarian.
For the opening ceremony on 21st April, our lecturer will be Dr. Vadász Csaba from the Kiskunság National Park. He will be looking into: A case study on the fine-scale spatio-temporal patterns of biodiversity of forest steppes: past and recent processes with special regard to species protection and area-based conservation measures in Peszér-forest, Central Hungary (by Dr. Vadász Csaba (KNPI), Erdélyi Arnold (MATE), Hajagos Gabriella, Koszta Mihály (SOE), and Molnár Ábel Péter (MATE))
The closing lecture will take place on 4th May at 18:30, and will feature lecturer Dr. Ambrus András from the Fertő-Hanság National Park.
