The event consists of a creative workshop for children, where dioramas that represent the Danube Delta will be made. The materials used are natural to stimulate children's inventiveness and to teach them that nature and the environment must be protected. During the workshop, the children will learn about the Danube Delta, the path of the environment, how they will be able to act as future environmentalists.
All the actions will take place within the National Museum of the Village Dimitrie Gusti Bucharest, including a presentation of the flora, fauna of the Danube Delta, visiting a traditional Dobrogean house in the museum, a short film about the Danube Delta, fauna, flora, local customs and traditions, a workshop, and shaping a clay diorama to represent an animal or a plant specific to the Danube Delta.
Learning is done through play. Learning through play is a method used in children's psychology and education to help them acquire new knowledge and become aware of the environment around them since it is one of the few activities that stimulate a child's development in all its aspects. It paves the way for a safe path to long-term learning. In the workshops, through artistic-plastic education we stimulate the ability to perceive, acquire and use appropriately the artistic values and the acquired knowledge and the one to create values in an emotionallogical way. Their realisation will contribute to the cultivation of artistic taste, to the development of aesthetic sensory, emotions, acquired knowledge, feelings and artistic creativity in students.
